Alta SouthwestTopographic Mapping
The purpose of a topographic survey and topographic mapping is to gather horizontal and vertical data about the natural and man-made features of the land. Alta Land Survey surveyors perform the topographic survey in the field by taking a “shot” on the ground or the surface of a hardscape item. This information is then downloaded and the office staff prepares a topographic map showing contour lines and spot elevations based on the ground shots.
