Alta SouthwestLot Splits
In March, 2005, Pima County adopted ordinance 2005-34 which requires a landowner to obtain a Minor Lands Permit (MLD) before he or she can legally split his or her land. This ordinance requires any split to have a sealed survey depicting boundary lines, existing structures, legal access and any utility easements for each lot being a part of the lot splits. Also, a preliminary title report must be submitted demonstrating legal access to each lot from a public right-of-way. Not more than five lots are allowed as part of the MLD.
